The Degree

What degree can I earn?

Students who successfully complete the program are granted a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Organizational Management from Manhattan College.

What are the degree requirements?

A degree will be conferred once a student has completed 60 credits in residency, acquired 60 credits transferred from prior educational sources, and has met all financial obligations.

How is the program structured?

The program is offered in a highly structured, modular format. Each group of students proceeds as a cohort through a series of courses and experiences leading to a common completion generally within an accelerated period of approximately 23 months. Utilizing a collaborative format, each cohort persists together throughout the program of courses as mutually supportive learning communities supported by faculty facilitators and interactive communication. Classes are taught in seminar style with class materials centered on organizational, behavioral, supervisory, interpersonal skills, management and ethical problems. Classroom assignments include outside readings and written papers on selected topics. Students will design, implement and evaluate a research project relevant to their professions. This project will assist students in learning problem-solving techniques, research design and methodology, report writing and improving presentation skills.

 Which courses make up the program?

The program consists of 60 credits or 18 three-credit courses and a 6 credit undergraduate thesis. Courses are in behavioral psychology (15-credits), business & management (15-credits), communications (12-credits), and ethics , as they apply to businesses and organizations (12-credits).

Who are our students?

Students in the Adult Degree Completion Program come from a variety of occupations. The age span runs from the mid-20’s to mid-60’s. Our student body is diverse with students from many countries of origin and from many places of employment.
