Education:

  • M.A., Johns Hopkins University
  • Ph.D., Johns Hopkins University

Research and Teaching Interests:

International environmental policy, international organizations, multilateral diplomacy, bargaining and negotiation and US foreign policy. Regional areas of specialization include the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

Publications:

Dr. Chasek is the author and editor of several books on international environmental policy, including Global Environmental Politics, 4th edition, The Global Environment in the 21st Century: Prospects for International Cooperation and Earth Negotiations: Analyzing Thirty Years of Environmental Diplomacy. She has also published articles on the United Nations and multilateral environmental negotiations. She is also the editor of the Earth Negotiations Bulletin, a reporting service on environment and development negotiations at the United Nations.
