Description of Undergraduate Program:
The Government Department offers a major and a minor in Political Science with courses representing the major areas in the study of politics, namely United States Government, Comparative Government (the study of other nations' political systems), Political Theory, International Relations, as well as Area Studies (Europe, Latin America, Africa, Middle East, and Asia) and Pre-Law Studies. Students may also participate in special programs, such as internships in private voluntary organiztions, in local government, in state government at Albany, in the federal government in Washington, D.C., and in the Model United Nations Team.
