Research and Scholarly Interests:

Spanish narrative of the 18th and 19th centuries, with a special interest in the novels of Perez Galdos; modern Spanish poetry; history of Spanish Jewry.

Chair, Spanish SAT II Test Development Committee, active with the Spanish Advanced Placement Program of the College Board; Consultant to the College Board, Educational Testing Service, and American Council on Education.
