Psi Chi at Manhattan College

Membership in Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology, recognizes outstanding scholastic achievement and interest in psychology. Founded in 1929, Psi Chi has grown to be one of the largest honor societies in the United States with over 875 chapters. The purposes of Psi Chi are to encourage, stimulate and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members of all fields, particularly psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.

 Manhattan College uses the following criteria to identify new Psi Chi members:

1) At least 12 credits in Psychology with a declared Psychology major or minor
2) G.P.A. of 3.4 or above in Psychology courses
3) An overall G.P.A. of 3.4.
