Research and Scholarly Interests:

Christian Social Ethics; Peace Studies

Publications:

Author of:  Reinhold Niebuhr on Human Nature and World Peace; Peace, War, and the Christian Conscience; Irenology: The Study of Peace, War and the Christian Conscience: Where Do You Stand?; and  co-editor of A Peace Reader: Essential Readings on War, Justice, Non-Violence and World Order along with many other articles, essays, and reviews on justice and peace related issues. 

Professional and Community Activities:

Member, Workers Rights Board NYC Jobs with Justice.  Member, State Committee, Working Families Party.  Served on the Boards of The Peace Studies Association; the Consortium on Peace Research, Education and Development; Pax Christi; the Fellowship of Reconciliation. Founding member and General Secretary of Pax Christi, USA. Founding member and Director of the BA in Peace Studies at Manhattan College. Arbitrator, The American Arbitration Association. Member, National Advisory Board, Americans for Religious Liberty. Faculty Advisor, Americorps Bridgebuilders Program. Member, Westchester County NY Commission on the Homeless. United Nations NGO Representative: University Center for Peace Research (Vienna).
