Research and Scholarly Interests:

Roman Catholic beliefs, religious practices, moral teachings, and attitudes to other religious traditions, both in the historical development of Catholicism and as subjects of contemporary discussion and debate. The understanding of the Hebrew Scriptures and its implications for contemporary models of spirituality. The spirituality of teaching based on the three hundred-year-old tradition of Lasallian Education.

Publications:

Brother Robert has edited a volume entitled, Ministry and Spirituality in the Time of John Baptist de La Salle and published a number of articles in the area of spirituality in Review For Religious, Listening/Journal of Religion and Culture, and Christian Brothers Spirituality Seminar Series.

Community Activities:

For the past fifteen years Brother Robert has assisted men and women in the ministry of spiritual direction and Eight Day Directed Retreats. As a faculty member of the Lasallian Leadership Institute, he has given presentation on "Lasallian Spirituality." Brother Robert is also the Director of one of Manhattan College's residence halls.
