Education:

  • B.A., Manhattan College
  • M.A., Seton Hall University
  • Ph.D., Fordham University

Research and Scholarly Interests:

Patrology, especially 5th-6th century North African thought concerning Psalm interpretation. Studies include the use of modern literary theories, especially reception theory and Marxist criticism, to reveal the meanings of texts. Major authors include Fulgentious the Mythographer, Verecundus of Junca, and Fulgentius of Ruspe.

Publications:

Visita nos: Reception, Rhetoric and Prayer in a North African Monastery, published by Peter Lang.  Articles in Studia Patristica, Revue Benedictine and The Dictionary of Christian Theologians, published by Greenwood Press.

Other Activities:

One of the faculty/staff directors of Standing Together: The Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual student support group at Manhattan College.
