Allied Health B.S. Degree with Advanced Standing Continuing Education Program

The department of Radiological and Health Professions at Manhattan College offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health with Advanced Standing for all types of Allied Health Technologists who wish to expand themselves academically and professionally. The Bachelor of Science degree offers concentrations in Health Care Administration or General Science or a Pre-Medical School track.

The program can be completed as a part-time evening student. Most classes are held on one-evening-a-week, Monday through Thursday, 6:15 to 9:05 p.m. (Pre-Med and General Science students would have to attend some daytime science classes).

It can be difficult to work full-time and to attend classes in the evening. It may, however, be worthwhile when balanced against the opportunity to further oneself academically and professionally.

The program can also be completed as a full-time student taking a combination of daytime and evening classes. For those who have part-time jobs, you may wish to attend College as a full-time student and complete your Bachelor’s degree in approximately 2 years. There are excellent dormitory facilities available for students wishing to reside on campus.

Associate degree applicants can receive up to 63 transfer credits. Hospital-based program applicants can receive up to 63 transfer credits depending on the evaluation of the noncollege hospital transcript; additional credits may be transferred for college courses. The maximum number of credits that can be transferred for both hospital and college courses is 63 credits. The total number of credits required for the degree is 126 credits.
