School of EngineeringEnvironmental EngineeringThe baccalaureate program in Environmental Engineering was established in 1993. It is supported by faculty and laboratories associated with the strong research oriented master's degree program in environmental engineering that has been in existence for over 50 years. Environmental Engineering is a broad and diverse discipline involving all phases of the basic sciences, including mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics and computer science. This program is designed to prepare our students for lifelong careers in environmental engineering as we work to solve the many challenges of providing safe drinking water, clean air and water quality, proper disposal of solid and hazardous waste, effective environmental site restoration, and responsible management of our natural resources.
