Welcome to the Dean's Web Page at the Manhattan College School of Engineering.

Manhattan College is one of the best small college engineering schools in the nation, period.  It is The Mission of the School of Engineering to prepare you (and all of our students) for a productive and rewarding career in engineering or a related profession. But shouldn’t that be part of the mission for all engineering schools? Yes and there are many fine accredited engineering schools like Manhattan that will prepare you.  But it is not so much arriving at the destination of a career, but the journey to that destination which makes Manhattan different.  So what makes the Manhattan College experience different?  Actually, it is you.  Students come to us with very diverse social, economic, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, but they all have a common desire, to become the very best person they can in all aspects.  The School creates an environment in which this desire can be fulfilled through traditional and non-traditional classroom education, close interaction with our student-centered faculty, small class sizes, an excellent college-industry mentoring program, strong and supportive relationships with our vast and dedicated alumni, excellent connections with the engineering community in the New York region, the excitement of living in the “World’s city”, and a tradition dating back to 1892.  But it is the interaction of the students (you) with the faculty, staff, and administrators in this environment which makes Manhattan College great.  What I am saying is the college experience is more than engineering classes.  It is interactions, maturation, and learning there is a whole world waiting for you.  And one very important thing you will learn is that at Manhattan College, engineering is viewed as a service-to-humanity profession.  As a student, one thing you will come to know is the deep belief that we should be giving back to humanity and the Earth more than we are receiving. 

So if you want the small college experience while preparing yourself for a fulfilling and rewarding career, Manhattan College should be your first choice.  We are here to guide and help you in your journey.
