About Our Graduates
About one-third continue their studies in a university graduate program, usually with a scholarship or assistantship. Recent graduates have enrolled at Cornell University, Duke University, Pennsylvania State University, Johns Hopkins, University of Connecticut, SUNY at Buffalo, Brown University, Princeton University, New York University, University of Delaware, Columbia University, University of California at Berkeley, Indiana University, Iowa State University, and Yale University. Many go on to become college professors, senior research scientists in industry, and researchers in government laboratories.
Others are accepted by professional schools to prepare for careers in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, and law. Georgetown University, New York University Medical School, the SUNY Medical Centers, University of Virginia School of Medicine, and Cornell Medical School are among the institutions our graduates are attending.
The remaining students obtain employment in the chemical industry, often in one of many chemical or pharmaceutical companies in the New York metropolitan area including Lederle, Lever Brothers, Union Carbide, American Cyanamid, Pfizer, Merck, Hoffman-LaRoche, and Sterling Drug.
