Intramurals

Looking for a little friendly competition? As a member of the National Intramural - Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA), the Manhattan College Intramural Sports Program encourages participation in a competitive, yet fun, sports environment.

Intramurals are designed to provide participants with a flexible yet structured schedule.  Teams are formed in a variety of ways such as resident hall teams, fraternity or sorority teams, off-campus groups, and many more. There are no coaches or team practices as teams within the college play other teams within the college.

The intramurals program is comprised of such sports as: flag football, volleyball, softball, and many others. Intramural participants can either form their own teams or enter as a “free agent” and get placed on a team.

There are also wellness events which include kick boxing, Shamrock and Easter Runs, weightlifting competition and hip hop dancing classes. Notices are periodically posted advising students about each activity and the procedure for participation. Further information concerning intercollegiate athletics, club sports and intramurals may be obtained in the Intramural Office, located in Draddy Gymnasium.
