Five School Faculty Development Funds

Our faculty members are the heart, soul and pride of the College. They include eminent scholars, winners of prizes and awards in their fields, and members of prestigious societies. Above all, they are dedicated teachers and committed to the educational and personal development of their students. They are the men and women who engage the minds and set loose the imaginations of the students who pass before them in classrooms and laboratories.

For Manhattan to offer the finest educational experience and training to its students, the College must make certain that the faculty is equal to the challenge. Manhattan must offer the men and women who serve on its faculty adequate opportunities to keep abreast of changes within their respective disciplines and to analyze the ethical, global and technological developments that impact business, education and society. To do so, the College seeks $5 million in funds — five School Faculty Development Funds at $1 million each — for faculty support, career advancement, curriculum development, interdisciplinary collaboration and the necessary training with new media and pedogogical methods that their teaching roles demand.
