One of the most convenient ways to make a gift to Manhattan College is to name the College as owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy that may no longer be needed for its original purpose. Such a gift provides you with a charitable income tax deduction equal to the current value of the policy or the net premium payments, whichever is less. It is also possible to purchase a new policy and name the College as the owner and beneficiary. This is an easy way to make a substantial gift over time that is most likely larger than its cost to you. You are entitled to a charitable income tax deduction for the amount of the premiums.
