Mission Statement

The mission of the Human Resources Department is to support the mission of Manhattan College which is founded upon the Lasallian tradition of excellence in teaching, respect for individual dignity, and commitment to social justice inspired by the innovator of modern pedagogy, John Baptist de La Salle.

We expect our faculty, administration and staff to be knowledgeable about our mission and to make a positive contribution to that mission. We are committed to a diverse
campus community.

Our department is a service department  dedicated to maintaining a caring campus community.We strive for a productive, safe, fair and respectful place to work, while ensuring compliance with uniform policies, procedures and governmental regulations.
The Human Resources Department provides assistance in the areas of affirmative action, benefits, compensation, employee relations, performance appraisals, recruitment, and training.  

Human Resources maintains an open door policy with a positive approach to problem
solving and mediation.
