All full time permanent employees and their dependents * are covered under our dental plans effective the first day of the month following 90 days of employment. Manhattan College offers two (2) types of dental plans.

TRADITIONAL 

Dental expenses for covered family members are paid at a set maximum of $1000.00 per person per calendar year. Routine examinations, cleaning and x-rays are paid at 100%, not less than six months apart. After an annual deductible the plan pays a percentage (%) toward basic services, i.e. fillings, root canal, extractions, etc., and a percentage (%) toward major services, i.e. crowns, dentures, bridges, etc. Pre-determination of benefits is recommended for charges of $300.00 or more. You may select a dentist of your choice.

DENTAL MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION - DMO

This coverage pays for many of the charges incurred for the preventive and corrective dental care you and your dependents receive. There is no annual or lifetime maximum and no deductible. Major services, i.e. crowns, dentures, bridges, etc. are paid at 50%. Only dentists participating in the plan may be used.

*  Dependent children are covered up to age 19. Full-time students will be covered until the end of the year in which they attain age 23.
