The College has two types of medical coverage *

1. CIGNA Open Access Plus (A) – with in-network and out-of network MD’s.
2. CIGNA Open Access Plus (B) – with in-network MD’s.

CIGNA Open Access Plus (A)

When network MD’s are used, the copayment is $20 per office visit.  Specialist office visits is $35 per office visit

When out-of-network MD’s are selected there is a $300 deductible per person or $600 per family.  CIGNA pays 70% of usual and customary charges.  After deductible, annual out-of-pocket co-insurance maximum is $1,800 per person or $3,600 per family.  Out-of-network hospital bills are paid at 70% after deductible.

Prescriptions are paid when using a participating pharmacy:  $20 per generic prescription, $30 per preferred brand name prescription or $60 per non-preferred brand name prescription.

CIGNA Open Access Plus (B)

When network MD’s are used the copayment is $20 per office visit.  Specialist office visits is $35 per office visit.

When out-of-network MD’s are selected there is a $3000 deductible per person or $7,500 per family.  CIGNA pays 60% of usual and customary charges.  After deductible, annual out-of-pocket co-insurance maximum is $10,500 per person or $26,250 per family.  Out-of-network hospital bills are paid at 60% after deductible.

Prescriptions are paid when using a participating pharmacy:  $20 per generic prescription, $30 per preferred brand name prescription or $60 per non-preferred brand name prescription.

Employees are responsible for some contribution to either plan.

*All full-time permanent employees and their dependents are covered under our medical plan after 30 days of employment.
