Environmental Chemist

Manhattan College is seeking a Ph.D. chemist or biochemist with specialization in environmental science for a tenure track position at the assistant or associate professor level beginning in Fall 2013. Prior experience in developing or supervising an environmental science program is desirable.  The individual will be expected to direct the development of a new interdisciplinary major (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology and Physics) in environmental science for undergraduate students in the school of science, and the development of a Master’s program in environmental science. Developing a research program in environmental science for bachelors and masters level students is also expected.

Applications should include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy, and a research proposal that includes the role of undergraduates. Three letters of recommendation should also be sent. Review of applications will begin November 15 and will continue until the position is filled.
