A valid ID card from Manhattan College or the College of Mount Saint Vincent is required to borrow materials from the Manhattan College Library.
FINES AND OTHER CHARGES Fines are charged to encourage the prompt return of materials and to ensure their fair distribution to all. Fines are computed from the day the material is due until the day of its return.
The borrower is responsible for the return of materials and for any fines whether or not an overdue notice has been received. RENEWALS Materials may be renewed if no other patron has placed a hold on them. Renewals are not made by telephone or mail. SEARCHES If a book is missing in the library, a patron may request that a search be made for it. When the book is found, the patron will be notified. HOLDS A patron may request that a book be held at the circulation desk. If the book is charged out, the patron will be notified when it is returned. The book will be held at the circulation desk for one week. Holds may not be placed on reserve materials. RECALLS Books charged out to patrons may be recalled before they are due. OVERDUE NOTICES Notices regarding overdue items may be sent to a patron's Manhattan College e-mail account. The borrower is responsible for any charges or fees assessed for late or unreturned items whether or not such a notice has been received. CONFIDENTIALITY By New York State law, library circulation records are confidential. The name of a patron having a particular item charged out cannot be given to anyone. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
