Access Policy

The O'Malley Library is a private library that serves the students, faculty, administrators, staff, and alumni of Manhattan College and the College of Mount Saint Vincent. The library is also affiliated with the WALDO consortium of metropolitan libraries (listed on the reverse side), but is not open to the general public without restriction. The library reserves the right to limit the use of selected resources and facilities to Manhattan College ID card holders only. Access privileges may be revoked at the discretion of library staff.

ENTRANCE POLICY

Manhattan College and College of Mount Saint Vincent users must swipe their college ID cards at the turnstiles in order to enter the library. Alumni should present to the circulation staff the authorized user's card which is issued from the Director's Office. Patrons from other WALDO colleges and universities must show their college ID cards at the circulation desk and sign the register in order to enter the library.

Leaders of campus tours should identify themselves at the circulation desk. Members of such tour groups need not sign the register.

Elementary and secondary school students do not have access to the library unless they are accompanied by a legitimate library user.
