This year, four dedicated members of the past and present Manhattan College community are celebrating jubilee anniversaries as Christian Brothers. Thank you for your service!
Br. John Guasconi, FSC, celebrates his 50th anniversary. Br. John worked in the Manhattan College Admissions office from 2005-2009. He most recently finished a distinguished three-year term as Director-General of the Brothers’ Generalate in Rome, and has since returned permanently to New York City.
Br. Raymond Meagher, FSC, also celebrates his 50th anniversary. Br. Ray has taught at Manhattan since 1994 in both the graduate and undergraduate education programs, and has served as a counselor of Kappa Delta Pi since 2006. Prior to this, he spent more than 20 years in administration at St. Raymond’s High School in the Bronx.
Br. John Muller, FSC, celebrates his 60th anniversary. Throughout a 50-year teaching career, Br. John worked at many New York schools before arriving at Manhattan in 1968, where he earned the title of associate professor emeritus of government. During his time here, he also served as assistant to the president, executive vice president and director of planned giving.
Br. David Van Hollebeke, FSC, also celebrates his 60th anniversary. Br. David arrived at Manhattan in 1970, after teaching at the elementary and high school levels in New York. At the College he served as an adjunct instructor of math and associate director of Admissions, specializing in financial aid.
