Manhattan College To Host 2008 AIChE Mid-Atlantic Regional Student Conference April 11-13RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan College student chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) will be hosting the 2008 AIChE Mid-Atlantic Regional Student Conference from April 11-13. Highlights of the conference include engineering and career development workshops, three major competitions (Chem-E-Car, paper and poster) and an awards banquet and dinner. The keynote speaker will be Brian Poissant ’70, who received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from the College. AIChE is the world’s leading organization for chemical engineering professionals, with more than 40,000 members from 93 countries. Among its many missions, AIChE seeks to promote excellence in chemical engineering education and global practice, and to enhance the lifelong career development and financial security of chemical engineers through products, services, networking and advocacy.
