BUCHANAN,
NEW YORK, RESIDENT ROSS POLLACK APPOINTED TO ADVISORY BOARD OF PATCHWORX
RIVERDALE,
N.Y. --- Buchanan, New York, resident Ross Pollack has
been appointed to the advisory board of Patchworx, an online community
for young people facing illness and disability.
As
a board member, Dr. Pollack will be an advocate to the goals of
Patchworx and its mission as well as provide feedback and guidance
to the organization and its board of directors.
Dr.
Pollack said, “I am excited to join this online community,
knowing that Patchworx quilt comforts individuals with the belief
that no student should feel his or her academic aspiration of attaining
a post secondary education is diminished by living with a serious
illness or disability.”
The
director of specialized resource center/director of learning disabilities
program at Manhattan College, Dr. Pollack received his B.A. from
SUNY Purchase and his Ed.M. and Ed.D. from Columbia Teachers College.
Located
in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, Manhattan College is an independent,
Catholic, coeducational college in the Lasallian tradition that
offers more than 40 major fields of study in the programs of arts,
business, education, engineering and science.
