Helene Tyler, Ph.D., associate professor of mathematics and computer science at Manhattan College, will give the welcoming address at the Visiting Lecturer Program (VLP) Reception in June at the U.S. Embassy in Cambodia. The reception will honor the work VLP has done in Cambodia during the last six years, and Tyler has also played an instrumental role in the program teaching math courses at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP). In fact, she will be teaching a Group Theory class at RUPP during her visit to Cambodia.
She also presented a talk on the Auslander-Reiten Components in the Rhombic Picture at the 11th Maurice Auslander International Conference in Woods Hole, Mass.
