Fall Honors Convocation Honors Alumnus

Dr. George Galasso '54, former associate director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and former executive director of the Foundation for NIH Research, was awarded an honorary Doctor of Science at this year's Fall Honors Convocation, held on Oct. 14 in the Chapel of De La Salle and His Brothers. During the ceremony, nearly 140 seniors were recognized for their academic excellence and inducted into Epsilon Sigma Pi, the oldest college-wide honor society. Induction into Epsilon Sigma Pi is considered the highest scholastic honor that can be earned by a Manhattan College student. Read

 

College Names New Director of Alumni Relations

Manhattan College has named Ellen Kiernan as its new director of alumni relations. Kiernan joins the College from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she served as director of alumni relations. She has spent her entire professional career in higher education administration, including positions at New York University (NYU), SUNY Stony Brook, Long Island University and Adelphi University.
