Local Holocaust Survivors to Speak at Manhattan College

Holocaust survivors Martin Spett and Gisela Glaser will discuss their experiences at Manhattan College on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Smith Auditorium as the Holocaust Resource Center presents Survivors and Their Stories. Read

 

Lasallian Thursday

Dr. William Merriman, dean of the school of education; Dr. Yassir Samra, assistant professor of management; and Lois Harr, director of campus ministry and social action, will speak during the Nov. 8 Lasallian Thursday luncheon at 12:20 p.m. in the Murray Room of Thomas Hall. They will discuss their recent experiences at the Lasallian Social Justice Institute in El Paso, Texas, where the topic is border issues, and in San Francisco, where the focus is on homelessness. The event is open to the entire Manhattan College community.

 

College Partners With ConEd for New Master's Program

Manhattan College's school of engineering, in conjunction with Consolidated Edison, Inc. (Con Edison) introduced its Master of Science in electrical or mechanical engineering program during a ceremony on Sept. 24 in the Fischbach Room of Leo Hall. Read

 

Cerezo Named Director of Security

Juan Cerezo, a member of the Manhattan College community for more than a decade, has been named the new director of security. Cerezo joined the College in 1996 following a distinguished 25-year career in the New York City Police Department. Read
