Cerezo Named Director of Security

Juan Cerezo, a member of the Manhattan College community for more than a decade, has been named the new director of security.

Cerezo joined Manhattan in 1996 as assistant director of security, after a distinguished 25-year career in the New York City Police Department. As a ranking lieutenant, he was a module supervisor of the Bronx Strategic Narcotics and Gun Team and the commanding officer of the New York City Social Club Task Force.

The recipient of several honors and citations, including the El Diario La Prensa Hero Award, Cerezo has a license as a New York state private investigator. He also is a member membership of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators and the Northeast Colleges and Universities Security Association.
