Christopher Browning Will Present Holocaust History and Survivor
Testimony on Feb. 7

Christopher R. Browning, Ph.D., Frank Porter Graham professor of history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will present, “Holocaust History and Survivor Testimony: The Case of the Starachowice Factory Slave Labor Camps” on Monday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Smith Auditorium. The event is sponsored by Manhattan College’s Holocaust Resource Center and the presentation is open to the public.

Remembering Survival: Inside a Nazi Slave Labor Camp (Norton, 2010) is Browning’s most recent work and the basis for his presentation at Manhattan College.

A prolific scholar and the recipient of numerous prestigious fellowships, Browning’s books have been translated into nine other languages including Ordinary Men: Police Battalion 101 and the Final Solution in Poland (1992). Browning is also a major public intellectual dedicated to Holocaust education. He has served as an expert witness to combat Holocaust deniers in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.
