Manhattan College is committed to protecting our environment.
The Compliance Department is responsible for all hazardous waste materials generated
on-site. This can range from chemical waste to electrical waste such as computers.
We work closely with all other departments in the college in maintaining regulatory
compliance with state, local and federal regulations. Examples of these include
our local fire and police departments, hospitals and the EPA www.epa.gov
(Environmental Protection Agency).

We hope that this will create greater awareness and understanding of the nature
of our office. A compliance committee has been established which meet at various
times during the year. Meeting dates and times will be scheduled here at a later
date.
