Essay # 2

Due: Monday, May 10, 1999

Write a three page essay that argues your interpretation of one of the following topics. Your paper must be double spaced with one inch margins. Remember you must provide a strong thesis statement for your topic and include it in a well-written introduction. You must also provide several paragraphs supporting your thesis and cite from the text. Be sure to avoid "orphan" citations. citations that do not support your main idea or any of its subtopics. Organization your paper thoughtfully: it is advisable to prepare an outline first.
