Social Leisure ClubsIce Hockey – Gives students a chance to practice and compete in hockey. Karate – An opportunity to learn/practice personal discipline and self-defense. Lively Arts – Exposes students to the theater by taking frequent trips to Broadway and off-Broadway Shows. Voyagers – An opportunity to travel locally to sporting/cultural/entertainment events and to weekend get-a-ways. Performing ArtsBagpipers – An opportunity to learn/play the bagpipes and showcase your talent by marching in parades. Jasper Dancers – Opportunity to learn and perform a variety of different dance styles. Jazzpers – The campus Jazz band ensemble is open to experienced students and performs on-campus. Singers –An opportunity for vocal coaching and performing in a variety of concerts/shows/special events. Players – Provides an avenue to perform and gain a working knowledge of the theater. Cultural GroupsAfrican Caribbean American Club – An opportunity to socialize and network with people of African descent and of the Caribbean Islands. Asian Cultural Society – Explores the Asian culture through organizing and promoting activities. Gaelic Society – Provides exposure to the Irish culture through sponsored events. International Student Association – Acclimates international students and enriches campus life. Multi-cultural Student Union – Unifies numerous ethnic groups and sponsors cultural events. Club SportsCheerleading – This co-ed spirit group motivates both fans and players at basketball games. Crew – An opportunity to learn, practice and compete in rowing, a group building activity. CommunicationsManhattanite – An opportunity for students to work on photography, writing and lay-out for the yearbook. MCTV - An opportunity for studnet to earn how to produce, direct, and edit for the campus’ brand new television station. [ Website ] WRCM – A chance for students to try their hands at being a DJ and to experience running a radio station. Special InterestsChrist in Your Life – Provides an opportunity for discussion about the ongoing role of Christ in the members’ life. Commuter Student Association – Advocates commuter issues and plans activities for the commuter population. Electronics Club – Provides students with practical knowledge of the concepts learned in the class room, and the opportunity to obtain hands on experience. Engineers Without Borders – Enables students to learn firsthand about the application of a solution to problems by engaging a developing community in resolving a particular infrastructure need that the community itself has identified. Games Club – Engages students in challenging games, i.e. Magic, Chess,… Resident Student Association – Advocates issues of students who live on campus and plans activities. Standing Together – To foster education to all, (but not exclusively for) the college’s Community of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people. Student Government – An opportunity to develop leadership skills through the Executive Committee, Legislature, Student Court and Class Offices. Womyn’s Space – Examines issues affecting women through discussion and programs.
