CMSA encourages the viewing of life in light of social justice issues. Additionally, many students participate in community service projects. These include Habitat for Humanity, God’s Love We Deliver, a variety of works with the elderly in nearby nursing homes, the hungry in soup kitchens, and children in an array of settings. New projects are regularly developed in response to students’ interests

Local Opportunities for Service
The service opportunities listed below fall into a number of categories and varying levels of commitment. Virtually every site can utilize student assistance at each of these levels. You can volunteer for one specific project, for one day. You can volunteer for a task that will occur at the same time each week. And you can donate your time for a week or more during the Summer. It is up to you how much of a commitment you are willing to make. The social action and outreach office will help you to make the connections that meet your needs and level of commitment.
