Fr. George Hill

Present

  • Father George Hill is a priest of the Diocese of Worcester, MA who is presently Chaplain at Manhattan College and in residence at St. Gabriel's Church at 235th and Arlington in the Bronx.

Previously

  • He has been ordained for 40 years and has worked as a parish priest, Dean of Students, and Pastor Counselor at two major seminaries. Chaplain for Troubled Youth for the NY State Division for Youth, Chaplain at Groveland State Prison, Pastoral Care Coordinator, and Bereavement Counselor at the AIDS Resource Center/Bailey House in Manhattan. He has been associate pastor and counselor at St. Raymond’s Church, Bronx, and Retreat Director at the Abbey of the Genesee.

Education

  • Father Hill has a bachelor degree from Holy Cross College, an M.A. and CAGS in Psychology and Counseling from Assumption College, post graduate work at the University of Louvain in Belgium in Vocational Psychology. He has certificates in Sexual Abuse and Addiction Counseling and in Hypnotherapy. He is a licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State.
