Counseling Center
The Manhattan College counseling center services are provided at no charge to help students reach their educational goals and work through any personal issues that are causing anxiety or distress.
There are various types of assistance available:
- Short-term individual counseling
- Student groups that meet weekly
- Private consultations
- Crisis intervention
- Referrals to local mental health resources
- Substance abuse screenings and referrals
- Educational programs
All services of the counseling center are confidential. Records maintained in the counseling center are separate from college academic records. All staff members in the counseling center adhere to professional and ethical standards regarding confidentiality. The limits of confidentiality are discussed with each student at the first session.
Regular office hours are 9am-4:30pm, but eventing appointments are also available by request.
