Health Services

Health Services staff provide urgent care for common minor illnesses and injuries. For serious or prolonged illnesses, students are  referred to a local hospital or private physician. Although an appointment is not necessary, students who wish to see one of the physicians are advised to call ahead.

Available Services Include:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of minor acute illnesses
  • First aid for minor injuries
  • a rest area for students who become ill and need a place to rest
  • Physical examinations
  • Blood pressure check-up
  • Vision screening (for drivers license renewal)
  • Flu vaccine (nominal fee)
  • Allergy injections (registration required)
  • MMR immunization
  • Diagnostic testing - lab screenings, cultures and blood work (nominal fee to a laboratory)
  • Referrals to local medical specialists.
  • Individual health and wellness counseling/referrals: alcohol and other drug, weight reduction, HIV testing, smoking cessation, etc.
  • Educational programs
