Mission Statement

The mission of the office of the International Student Advisor is to provide the highest quality services to the international community at Manhattan College and to serve as an international education resource to the entire college community.

The office is committed:

  • to providing a warm and informative welcome to international students, recognizing their importance and their contributions to the campus community;
  • to providing appropriate services and assistance to international students so they do not face challenges alone. In providing said services and assistance, the office is committed to addressing their concerns with the utmost respect, reassurance and understanding;
  • to working with international students, assisting with their adjustment and understanding of their new environment to pursue their studies, be involved in the university community and take full advantage of our close proximity to New York City;
  • to serving as a resource to faculty and staff to facilitate international exchange, enhance cross-cultural communication and support international endeavors.

Obtaining your F-1 Student Visa:


"What's Free in NYC" is a weekly calendar which is compiled by the ISA office and distributed to the Manhattan College community. Free events such as parades, street festivals, lectures, spoken-word, dance, and musical performances, movies, plays, comedy shows, etc. are highlighted. The calendar is now available online. It can be read using Adobe Acrobat.
