The Pipes and Drums

The Manhattan College Pipes & Drums are quartered on the campus in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. The band was formed in 1981 under the guidance of Brother Kenneth Fitzgerald, FSC, and the musical training of Captain Robert Hogan, ’82, of the Pipes & Drums of the NYPD Emerald Society.

Membership: open in the Fall of 2006.
Rehearsals: Thursdays 7:30pm-9:30pm; Thomas Hall
Requirements: ability to play or desire to learn in a 2 year program
Performances: the month of March is the main marching season; other opportunities throughout the year on campus
Other: great way to learn the pipes and drums with dedication to the program…and the ball is good too.
