College to Honor Fidelity COO at De La Salle Dinner

The 2007 De la Salle Medal will be presented on Jan. 24 to Robert L. Reynolds, vice chairman and chief operating officer of Fidelity Investments, at New York City's Cipriani. The De La Salle Medal was established in 1951 in honor of St. John Baptist de La Salle, who founded the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. The medal has been conferred annualy b the Manhattan College board of trustees to honor executives who exemplify the principles of excellence and corporate leadership. Reynolds is the 31st recipient of the medal and adds his name to an impressive list of awardees that includes Con Edison Chairman and Chief Executive Eugene R. McGrath '63 and former Mayor of New York City Rudolph W. Giuliani '65. The De La Salle Medal dinner and ceremony remains the College's top fundraising event, benefiting academic and co-curricular programs, scholarship assistance and library resources.

Chemical Engineering Students Compete in Chem-E-Car Competition

The Manhattan College American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) student Chapter participated in the Chem-E-Car competition during the National AIChE Meeting in San Francisco, Calif. from Nov. 11-13.
