Reunion Weekend 2009

Reunion Weekend

Manhattan College welcomed home alumni from classes spanning the last 71 years to celebrate the140th Alumni Reunion Weekend.  Special celebrations for the 25th, 40th and 50th Reunion classes were well attended and all gathered Saturday evening for a clambake on the Quadrangle, with approximately 400 people in attendance. For more information on obtaining photos, please visit the alumni website which will advise you when they will become available. The alumni relations team thanks everyone who attended and made the weekend a wonderful memory for all. Make your plans now for Alumni Reunion Weekend 2010 June 4-6. Financial Planning Seminar Hosted by UBS Private Wealth Management

Please join Manhattan College and UBS Private Wealth Management for the first in a series of complimentary educational events sponsored by the College's Planned Giving Committee. The presentation on "Estate Planning: Challenges for Today and the Future," will take place on Wednesday, June 17 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at UBS (299 Park Avenue, 25th Floor, at 49th St.). Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival

Manhattan College is offering its alumni the opportunity to experience Shakespeare at his finest at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival's production of Much Ado About Nothing on July 17.The $30 tickets include admission to the performance and a picnic of wine, cheese and sandwiches on the beautiful grounds of Boscobel in Garrison, N.Y., overlooking the Hudson River and West Point. You are also encouraged to bring additional picnicking items. The park opens at 6:00 p.m. (two hours prior to show time). For more information and to register online, click Here. Jersey Shore Luncheon

Alumni and friends living at or visiting the Jersey Shore are invited to attend our 2nd annual luncheon hosted by Bill Harkins ’67 at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, at the Spring Lake Manor (415 Route 71, Spring Lake, N.J.) The cost per person is $25 and includes a sit-down lunch and complimentary cocktail. For more information and to register, click Here.

 

Saratoga Day at the Races

Make plans to join us for our annual day at the races in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in the Paddock Tent. Sunset racing begins with a 2:45 p.m. post time. The $95 cost per person includes admission to the track, a program and buffet lunch. Join us later in the evening for a reception hosted by Bill Chandler '70 at the Inn at Saratoga (231 Broadway). Reservations must be made in advance and may be completed online Here. For overnight hotel accommodations, we recommended that arrangements be made in advance.

 

Construction Industry Golf Outing

This year's Construction Industry Golf Outing benefitting the Joe Van Etten '57 Civil Engineering Scholarship will be held on Monday, August 3, 2009 at Lake Isle Country Club. For more information on how to get involved in the outing and to register, click Here.

 

Annual Alumni Tailgate Party - Buffalo Bills vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Our Western New York State Jaspers will be holding its annual tailgate at the September 20, 2009 Buffalo Bills game vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tickets are $70 for an individual and $136 for two (prices include tailgate party). Any additional tickets are $58 each. Payment by check (made out to Manhattan College) can be mailed to the attention of Br. Bill Batt, F.S.C. at 4415 Post Rd., Riverdale, N.Y. 10471. Those interested in attending should contact Br. Alumni Directories

Manhattan has partnered with Publishing Concepts Inc. to update alumni information, which will be collected and published in a directory available for purchase in both printed and electronic format. Directories will be mailed later this summer.
