Last Chance to Attend an Interfaith Week Event
As part of Interfaith Week Feb. 14-17, the College planned three events including:
- Today, Thursday, Feb. 17 the Muslim and Christian clubs of Manhattan and faculty will take students to the Three Faiths: Judaism, Christianity, Islam exhibit at the New York Public Library branch in Manhattan.
- On Monday, Feb. 14, the departments of modern languages and literatures, religious studies and campus ministry & social action (CMSA) sponsored a roundtable interfaith discussion.
- On Wednesday, Feb. 16, Interfaith Week continued with a screening of the documentary New Muslim Cool in the Rodriguez Room (Miguel 311) from 4:00-5:30 p.m., followed by a question- and-answer session with Zaher Ali, senior advisor to the film. The documentary follows three years in the life of Hamza Pérez, a Puerto Rican American Muslim hip-hop artist, his family and community – observing his spiritual journey through America’s hip-hop scene.
