Driving to the Manhattan University Campus

Manhattan University is accessible from several major highways including I-87 (Major Deegan Expressway), I-95, the Henry Hudson Parkway, and the Saw Mill River Parkway.

All routes ultimately lead to Manhattan College Parkway, which provides direct access to the campus entrance.

From Manhattan

West Side Highway

  1. Take the West Side Highway north.
  2. Continue onto the Henry Hudson Parkway North.
  3. Exit at W. 239th Street.
  4. At the stop sign, proceed straight across the intersection (monument on the left).
  5. Pass the traffic light and bear right at the fork onto Manhattan College Parkway.
  6. Proceed downhill to the main gate on the left.

FDR Drive

  1. Take the FDR Drive north.
  2. Merge onto the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87 North).
  3. Take the Van Cortlandt Park South exit.
  4. Bear right onto Broadway.
  5. At the second traffic light, turn left and then left again onto Manhattan College Parkway.
  6. Continue uphill to the main gate on the right.

From Long Island

RFK Bridge (Triborough Bridge)

  1. Follow signs to Major Deegan Expressway (I-87 North).
  2. Exit at Van Cortlandt Park South.
  3. Bear right onto Broadway.
  4. At the second traffic light, turn left and then left again onto Manhattan College Parkway.
  5. Continue uphill to the main gate on the right.

Whitestone or Throgs Neck Bridge

  1. Take the Cross Bronx Expressway (I-95).
  2. Merge onto Major Deegan Expressway (I-87 North).
  3. Exit at Van Cortlandt Park South.
  4. Follow Broadway and turn onto Manhattan College Parkway.
  5. Proceed uphill to the main gate on the right.

From Upstate New York

Saw Mill River Parkway / Henry Hudson Parkway

  1. Exit at 246th Street.
  2. Turn left at the first traffic light.
  3. Turn right onto Fieldston Road at the circle.
  4. Turn left onto Manhattan College Parkway.
  5. Proceed downhill to the main gate on the left.

New York State Thruway (I-87)

  1. The Thruway becomes the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87).
  2. Exit at Van Cortlandt Park South.
  3. Turn right off the ramp onto Broadway.
  4. Turn left onto Manhattan College Parkway.
  5. Continue uphill to the main gate on the right.

From New Jersey

George Washington Bridge

  1. Cross the George Washington Bridge.
  2. Take the Henry Hudson Parkway North.
  3. Exit at 239th Street (no commercial vehicles).
  4. Proceed straight across the intersection.
  5. Bear right onto Manhattan College Parkway.
  6. Continue downhill to the main gate on the left.

From New England

I-95 (New England Thruway)

  1. Take I-95 West to the Cross Westchester Expressway.
  2. Merge onto the New York State Thruway South.
  3. Continue to the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87).
  4. Exit at Van Cortlandt Park South.
  5. Turn onto Manhattan College Parkway and proceed to the main gate.
