College Raises $1.475 Million at De La Salle Medal Dinner

The 2008 De La Salle Medal Dinner raised a record $1.475 million, making it the most successful in the event¹s 32-year history. A crowd of 525 attendees came to The Waldorf=Astoria on Jan. 16 to honor Frederic V. Salerno ¹65, retired vice chairman and chief financial officer of Verizon, who received the College¹s De La Salle Medal. The dinner's proceeds are applied to academic and cocurricular programs, scholarship assistance and library resources. “This year's De La Salle Medal dinner represents truly unparalleled financial success, going beyond historic dinner goals, outcomes and expectations,” says Thomas Mauriello, vice president for advancement.” Read

 

 

College Names New Sports Information Director

Stephen Dombroski

Manhattan College has named Stephen Dombroski as its new sports information director. He will oversee media relations for the Jaspers' 19 Division I athletic programs. Dombroski comes to Manhattan from Siena College, where he served as assistant sports information director. Prior to Siena, Dombroski worked as a graduate assistant at Wagner College. Read
