Ambassador Ted McNamara '62 To Speak at NYC Alumni Club on April 10

The New York City Alumni Club will be hosting a networking reception at the Mutual of America Building (330 Park Avenue) from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2008. The event will feature a presentation by Ambassador Thomas McNamara '62, who has extensive diplomatic experience in political military affairs, terrorism, narcotics and the regions of Latin America, Middle East, Africa, Europe and Russia. President George W. Bush recently appointed him to program manager for the information sharing environment. He reports to the director of national intelligence and is responsible for implementing basic reforms in the management of information throughout our government. 2008 Jasper Open Golf Tournament

Please join us for our 20th annual Jasper Open, which will be held on Monday, May 5, 2008 at our new location, Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford, N.Y. Join us for golf, brunch, cocktails and a wonderful reception. Proceeds help in supporting student-athletes at the College. Please consider sponsoring a part of this great event. Staten Island Communion Breakfast

The Manhattan College Alumni Society will host a Communion breakfast on Sunday, April 13 at Blessed Sacrament Church on Staten Island, N.Y. Bergen County Alumni

Br. William Batt, F.S.C., will be addressing the Bergen County Alumni Club on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ramsey Country Club in Ramsey, N.J. His talk will focus on the Lasallian heritage of Manhattan College. For more information on this dinner reception, click Here.

Br. Luke Salm, F.S.C. To Speak on History of De La Salle, Wed., April 9

Noted historian of St. John Baptist De La Salle, Br. Luke Salm, F.S.C. will speak on the life of Manhattan College's founder on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the Alumni Room of the O'Malley Library. His talk is part of the celebration of De La Salle/Founder's Week and is open to the entire College community. Refreshments will be served.

 

Manhattan College Celebrates St. Patrick's Day

Naples St. Patrick's Day Parade

The Manhattan College Pipes and Drums led two contingents of Jaspers in a pair of St. Patrick's Day parades last month. The Pipes and Drums made a special appearance this year in the Naples, Fla. parade (pictured left) on March 15. The large showing of Jaspers was led by Jim Connors '57. On March 17, the band made its annual appearance in the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade leading hundres of Jaspers, family, and friends down Fifth Avenue.
