College To Host AIChE Student Conference

The Manhattan College student chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) will host the 2008 AIChE Mid-Atlantic Regional Student Conference from April 11-13. Highlights of the conference include engineering and career development workshops, three major competitions (Chem-E-Car, Paper and Poster) and an awards banquet and dinner. The keynote speaker will be Brian Poissant ' 70, who received his bachelor's and master's degrees in chemical engineering from the College. For more information about the conference, click Here.

 

Celebrate De La Salle/Founder's Week at Manhattan College

Manhattan College's annual celebration of its founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle, is scheduled for April 7-11. An event will be held each day of the week, including author Michael Sullivan's address Boys, Girls and the Culture of Literacy . For a schedule of this year's De La Salle/Founder's Week, click Here. Lasallian Thursday

Dr. Richard Fitzpatrick, professor of management, will speak at the April 3 Lasallian Thursday Luncheon at 12:20 p.m. in Cornerstone (Miguel 209). Fitzpatrick will discuss his passion, the place where head and heart come together for individuals who serve as both scholar and educator. Manhattan College's Fifth Annual Relay for Life

The Manhattan College community will come together at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008 to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Relay for Life is an overnight fundraiser held each year in Draddy Gymnasium and in hundreds of communities around the country.
