College Honors William F. Baker at 166th Commencement

Manhattan College honored William F. Baker, Ph.D., president emeritus of Educational Broadcasting Corporation, at the 166th Undergraduate Commencement on Sunday, May 18, in Draddy Gymnasium. During the ceremony, Baker was presented with an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters. In his keynote address, Baker told the graduates, “You are fortunate to have been educated at Manhattan College and to be in New York City gives you a real advantage in a complex world.” Read. Holocaust Resource Center Continues To Grow Under New Leadership

Dr. Jeff Horn, associate professor of history and the new director of Manhattan College's Holocaust Resource Center (HRC), has a clearly defined plan for the future: to grow the “resource” component of the center. A public resource room is one of Horn's long-term goals, while an increased Internet presence also is on the horizon. In addition, the center's board of consulters held its first session this past February. Read.
