Message from Bill Harkins ’67, President of the Alumni SocietyThe Alumni Society was very active during the fall semester, with the career fair, open house for prospective students, the alumni retreat, other events and with Jaspers Helping Jaspers in finding jobs. Those of us who are active in the Alumni Society represent all alumni through our participation in these activities, as a reminder that life as a Jasper continues after graduation. Read.
Reunion Weekend 2010Reunion Weekend 2010 will be held June 4-6. Manhattan College welcomes home our alumni who return to campus to celebrate the 141st Alumni Reunion Weekend. Classes ending in either a 5 or 0 will have special receptions. Jaspers of Georgia 20th Annual BrunchBob Fink ’57 will host Atlanta area Jaspers in their annual brunch on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 12:30 p.m. at the Cherokee Country Club (665 Hightower Trail, Atlanta) for $25 per person. Staten Island Alumni Communion BreakfastThe Manhattan College Alumni Society will host a Communion breakfast on Sunday, March 21 at Blessed Sacrament Church on Staten Island, N.Y. The Mass will be celebrated by Monsignor Peter Finn '60, and a breakfast will follow at the Kings Arm Diner (500 Forest Ave.) for $15 per person. For more information and to register, click Here
New York City Alumni Club ReceptionAnn Marie Flynn '81, Ph.D., chair of the chemical engineering department, will join alumni at the spring networking reception of the New York City Club on Thursday, March 25 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The event will take place at Mutual of America (320 Park Ave.) and is hosted by Tom Moran '74, chairman and CEO. The reception is $40 per person and includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Registration will be available soon.
Jasper Open Golf TournamentPlease join us for our 22nd annual Jasper Open, which will be held on Monday, May 3, 2009 at Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford, N.Y. Join us for golf, brunch, cocktails and a wonderful reception. Proceeds directly help in supporting student-athletes at the College. Please consider sponsoring a part of this great event. Athletic Hall of Fame NominationsDid you know that anyone can nominate a Manhattan athlete for our Athletic Hall of Fame? Each year, we seek to induct a broad representation of qualified candidates. We recommend detailed attention when collecting and presenting biographical information to achieve the desired results in this competitive process. Nominations are due by Friday, June 4, 2010.
