Br. Charles Barbush Speaks at Lasallian Conversation in December

The second Lasallian Conversation of the semester occurred on Dec. 9 and Br. Charles Barbush, F.S.C., presented on the Buttimer Institute. After attending the Institute for three consecutive summers, Br. Barbush enlightened others on his own experiences at the Institute with a discussion and DVD introducing some of the academic and social highlights.

The Institute features an intensive formation and education program that studies the life and work of St. John Baptist de La Salle and the origins of the Lasallian educational mission. By examining the writings of De La Salle and an analysis of some modern educators, participants like Br. Charles Barbush develop a deeper understanding of the Lasallian heritage and its influence on contemporary education.

The Buttimer Institute is located at St. Mary's College in Moraga, Calif., and is designed to inspire participants to delve more thoroughly into the Lasallian founding story and discover the basis of their vocation as Lasallian educators.

Stay tuned for upcoming information on future Lasallian Conversation presentations.
