Jasper Jingle Holiday Fun

Manhattan College students gathered at the Jasper Jingle, the annual semiformal dinner dance, on Dec. 10 at V.I.P. Country Club in New Rochelle, N.Y. The event celebrates both the end of the semester and holiday season, and Santa (Donald Semon ’11) even managed to make an appearance. 

 

Rwandan Genocide Survivor to Speak at Manhattan on Feb. 9

On Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, the International Honor Society for Educators, Kappa Delta Pi, with the help of Manhattan’s administration, is bringing Immaculée Ilibagiza, author of Left to Tell and Rwandan genocide survivor, to campus to speak and share her extraordinary story with the College’s community.

Christopher Browning Will Present
Holocaust History and Survivor Testimony on Feb. 7

Christopher R. Browning, Ph.D., Frank Porter Graham professor of history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will present, “Holocaust History and Survivor Testimony: The Case of the Starachowice Factory Slave Labor Camps” on Monday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Smith Auditorium.

Lois Harr Represents Manhattan at CIL 2010 in Rome

Last semester, Lois Harr, director of campus ministry, traveled to Rome for three weeks in November to attend the International Lasallian Centre (or Centro Internazionale Lasalliano in Italian) / CIL 2010: Understanding and Living Association Today.
