Women’s Basketball Team Raises More Than $1,300 for American Cancer Society

Manhattan’s women’s basketball team has raised $1,318 for cancer research, and the funds will be donated to the American Cancer Society to help in the fight against breast cancer.

The team hosted Hoops for Cancer Night against Rider University on Jan. 24, and fans were asked to make either a flat donation or pledge a certain amount per basket or per three-pointer at the game. Manhattan also held its annual Pink Zone game Feb. 14, and the entire team manned a water station at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in September.
